Reduce and prevent glare
Glare will obstruct the camera’s view that of course will encourage criminals to strike. Studies have shown that criminals are aware of CCTV cameras that have too much glare, and exploit it. Instead of a few powerful lamps, multiple lamps of moderate power will reduce glare, provide more illumination with reduced pools of shadow and provide some redundancy if one lamp’s bulb blows out or develops a bad ballast.
