Doha College is a British international independent school located in Doha, Qatar. Doha College was opened to meet the demands of a British-style education in Qatar. It has a student body of over 2,100 people from over 75 nationalities.
In 2020, Crystal Palace made a deal with the college to supply internal lighting and all lighting requirements in the college.
The lighting should have been Appropriate to facilitate reading and study and be comfortable for the eye in college.
The choice fell on the lighting colour temperature of 3000K:
3000K is a warm colour temperature which gives off slightly more yellow while slowly integrating white. It’s as close as possible to natural light.
Crystal Palace has implemented the lux calculation, which is a program that takes the dimensions of the room in terms of width and height and gives a preview of the lighting like will it be an average, powerful, faint? and so on…
The project was completed in 2020 and the results were impressive.
